Janral Singh
Hailing from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh – the epicentre of the Mughal Empire, Singh has been head chef at Babu Ji since the restaurant opened in 2014. Using traditional Mughal techniques with a modern twist, Janral has been innovative and unique in perfecting the contemporary menu season to season and constantly adapting to food intolerances and allergies. Previous to Babu Ji, Janral spent 7 years at India’s luxury hotel group Oberoi’s Wildflower restaurant in Chimla and Agra Amarvilas – home to the famous Taj Mahal.
