Growing up in an Italian family, Liz Contini learned from her Nonna that you can have all the technical skills in the world, but to make a dish truly special, you need passion and care.
She developed her cooking skills alongside Chefs such as Emma Jeffrey (Mammoth, Gilson), Paul Dunlop (Bistro Thierry, St. Katherine’s), Tony Milton (Coombe Yarra Valley, Morris Jones) and developed her love of pastry and baking from Ben Forehan & Rachel Brown (Circa, Stokehouse)
Her focus at Shadowboxer is to champion local, seasonal produce and to create approachable yet sophisticated dishes.
