Over 8 billion dollars in food go to waste each year in Australia alone. After seeing tonnes of apples literally rot in her own backyard each season Bianca decided she had to do something to fight the war on waste. Starting out the back in an old spare shed, a “No Waste Initiative” was born.
With a minimal carbon foot print, apples come straight off the farm, direct to the cidery. Without the need for burning fuel for transportation. All equipment used by the team at Ten Sixty One either uses air compression or electricity which is driven by full solar energy. All packaging is recyclable and is sourced locally.
