The Protected Geographical Indication Drama, located on the northeast of mainland Greece, is one of the most modern wine regions in the country. Although its rich wine history dates back to the 4th millennium BC, Drama re-emerged as a wine region in the 1980’s. Incorporating from the beginning the latest in technology and know how and taking advantage of the multitude of terroirs the region has to offer, wines of Drama are contemporary, diverse and recognized around the world for their quality. Working with both Greek and international grape varieties it is a great place to start sampling the wines of the new old world.
