Set in the stunning surrounds of Albert Park, Taste of Melbourne is a festival like no other, an unmissable event on your culinary calendar.

Where do I buy tickets?
Tickets can be bought via Ticketek (13 28 49) in advance or at the Box Office on the day.
Taste Gift Cards
The Taste Gift Card is the official payment method of Taste of Melbourne, used to purchase tasting dishes, gourmet products and drinks at the festival.
If you wish to purchase dishes, beverages and gourmet products at Taste of Melbourne, you should use the Taste Gift Card for transactions. Paypass is now accepted at restaurants. Exhibitors will accept cash, debit or credit for products to take home. Taste Gift Cards can be purchased online at the time of your ticket purchase (in $30 increments) or onsite at the festival via Gift Card Banks and roaming sellers.
How Many Should I Buy?
Tasting size dishes from the restaurants are priced from $6-12 (icon dishes may be higher). The servings are tapas sized allowing you to create your ultimate tasting menu from a variety of restaurants! To sample a few tasting dishes, take part in a masterclass or enjoy a drink, we recommend you begin your tasting journey with $30 credit on your Taste Gift Card. You can top up your Taste Gift Card during the festival with any amount you like, just pop by a Bank or a roaming seller dressed in hot pink! Any funds left on the Taste Gift Card can be refunded at the Bank when you leave.

It is easy to get to Taste of Melbourne by public transport, car, bike or foot. We advise you to plan your journey in advance using Journey Planner.
There are numerous tram stops within walking distance of Taste of Melbourne. Use Journey Planner to help plan your journey.

What are the event opening times?
Taste of Melbourne takes place in 6 sessions across 4 days (10th-13th November 2016). On Thursday there is an evening session, Friday to Saturday there is a ‘lunch’ session and an ‘evening’ session, and on Sunday just a ‘lunch’ session.

How much are each of the dishes at the restaurants?
The average dish at Taste of Melbourne is $6-$12. Restaurant’s ‘Icon Dishes’ may be priced between $15-$25 and have limited quantities.
Will the event be affected by unfortunate weather circumstances?
Unless advised by the local authority, the event will go ahead despite any weather circumstances. So hail, rain or shine, Taste will thrive no matter what!
As this is an outdoor festival, please wear appropriate footwear as weather conditions may vary throughout. Should the weather turn for the worst, there are many covered marquee areas at the show. Wet weather ponchos will be readily available and free at the event should the weather turn very bad.
IMG Culinary reserve the right to cancel or change event dates, time, line up and venue as required. Tickets purchased to the festival are non-refundable. Alternative dates and times may be issued to ticket holders at the discretion and decision of the organisers.
Are there any age limits?
No! Everyone and anyone is welcome at Taste of Melbourne presented by Electrolux.
Do children under 5 require a ticket to attend?
No, but proof of identification may be required.
Can I bring my own food and/or drink on site?
No food will be permitted into the site premises. Only bottled water will be allowed.

Is smoking permitted on site?
There is no smoking onsite at Taste of Melbourne, it is a smoke-free venue.

Yes it is.
Are pets allowed?
Only guide dogs will be permitted on site. No pets allowed.
Photography on site
Patrons entering the site consent that IMG Culinary and third parties authorised by IMG Culinary may make or record film, photographs or other forms of moving picture, still picture or any of them of the event (including, without limitation, of patrons) for the use of media and promotions.
Responsible service of alcohol
Taste Festivals Australia can refuse to serve you alcohol if security believe that you are ‘intoxicated’. We will assume you are ‘intoxicated’ if:
- Your speech, balance, co-ordination or behaviour is affected; and
- It is reasonable to believe you are intoxicated
Taste Festivals Australia or a police officer can refuse you entry, or ask you to leave, if they think you:
- Are likely to cause injury to anyone else or damage property, or otherwise cause risk to public safety; or
- Are disorderly;
- Are smoking in a non-smoking area; or
- Have drugs on you
