Taste of Melbourne in partnership with Electrolux is an annual feast for all senses that celebrates all that’s great about Melbourne’s vibrant cuisine and culture. Set within the city’s iconic entertainment precinct at the Melbourne Cricket Club’s Yarra Park, Taste will unite the city’s favourite chefs with creative counterparts – from fashion designers and sculptors to graffiti artists and illustrators for and an unmissable culinary experience.

Where do I buy tickets?
Tickets can be bought via Ticketek (13 28 49) in advance from October through to the event or at the Box Office located at the entry to the festival.
Where is Taste of Melbourne held?

How do I get to Yarra Park at the MCG?
It is easy to get to Taste of Melbourne by public transport, car, bike or foot. We advise you to plan your journey in advance using Journey Planner.
There are numerous public transport stops within walking distance of Taste of Melbourne. Use Journey Planner to help plan your journey.
- Train Stations: Jolimont and Richmond Stations
- Tram Stops: No. 48, 70 and 75- There is a super stop on Wellington Parade.
- Bus No: 246
- Taxis: Should you journey by taxi, advise your driver to drop you off near the Jolimont Station on Wellington Parade.
Limited parking is available throughout the park at a cost of $10. Time restrictions and parking fees apply.
Accessible parking is available in the public Car Park via gate 5 on Punt Road
What are the event opening times?
Taste of Melbourne takes place in 6 sessions across 4 days. On Thursday there is an evening session, Friday to Saturday there is an afternoon session and an evening session, and on Sunday a longer afternoon session.

- Friday 1st December 12:00 – 16:00 & 17:30 – 22:00
- Saturday 2nd December 12:00 – 16:00 & 17:30 – 22:00

How much are each of the dishes at the restaurants?
The average dish at Taste of Melbourne is $6-$12. Restaurant’s ‘Icon Dishes’ may be priced between $15-$25 and have limited quantities.
Will the event be affected by unfortunate weather circumstances?
In the light of severe weather and flooding, and after consulting with weather, safety and emergency services experts, IMG has made the decision to cancel the remaining Taste of Melbourne sessions from Friday 1 – Sunday 3 December.
This decision is being made with the safety of our guests, exhibitors and staff in mind. We regret any disappointment or disruption caused to those who were looking forward to Taste of Melbourne and thank you for your understanding.
Are there any age restrictions?
Everyone and anyone is welcome at Taste of Melbourne. Children under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult due to RSA regulations.
Do children require a ticket to attend?
Children under 6 are able to enter for free for any session accompanied by an adult with a valid entry ticket.
Children under 14 are able to enter for free for the Sunday session accompanied by an adult with a valid entry ticket.
Children 15 and older will need to purchase a ticket to enter and accompanied by an adult with a valid entry ticket.
Can I bring my own food and/or drink into the festival?
No food will be permitted into the festival. Sealed bottled water is allowed.

Is smoking permitted on site?
There is no smoking inside the festival at Taste of Melbourne, it is a smoke-free venue.
Is the site wheelchair friendly?
Yes. The venue is accessible with accessible toilets. Please note that the park is grass and there are slight undulations.
Will Companion cards be accepted?
Yes, we accept Companion Cards. Cardholders can have their companions entry free of charge.
Are pets allowed?
No pets are not allowed inside the festival. Only registered guide dogs may be permitted with appropriate ID.
Photography on site
Patrons entering the site consent that IMG Culinary and third parties authorised by IMG Culinary may make or record film, photographs or other forms of moving picture, still picture or any of them of the event (including, without limitation, of patrons) for the use of media and promotions.
Responsible service of alcohol
Taste Festivals Australia can refuse to serve you alcohol if security believe that you are ‘intoxicated’. We will assume you are ‘intoxicated’ if:
- Your speech, balance, co-ordination or behaviour is affected; and
- It is reasonable to believe you are intoxicated
Taste Festivals Australia or a police officer can refuse you entry, or ask you to leave, if they think you:
- Are likely to cause injury to anyone else or damage property, or otherwise cause risk to public safety; or
- Are disorderly;
- Are smoking in a non-smoking area; or
- Have drugs on you
