Frank Camorra

MoVida chef & owner Frank Camorra was born in Barcelona and spent his first five years in his parents’ hometown of Córdoba in Andalusia, before his parents migrated to Australia.

Frank began his training under the Grossi family at their original Café Grossi in Toorak. In 2000 and 2001, Frank returned to work in Spain and was inspired by both the modern and traditional aspects of Spanish cuisine as well as the dynamic tapas culture, which he thought would translate well to Melbourne’ s vibrant CBD. Today, Frank is the owner and chef of three restaurants in Melbourne and one in Bali.

An award-winning author of four cookbooks, Frank now enjoys regular media appearances including MasterChef, Channel 10’ s The Circle, SBS’ Food Safari, Rick Stein’ s Food of Spain, has a weekly column in Spectrum in the Sydney Morning Herald and is a featured chef on the Good Food website. Frank has also made international appearances at cooking promotions in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Jakarta and Abu Dhabi.
